Passo Godi (AQ)

Skiing in Abruzzo

Surrounded by the highest peaks of the Marsicani Mountains – Mount Godi and Serra di Rocca Chiarano – between the territories of Scanno and Villetta Barrea, Passo Godi is a skiing resort full of opportunities.

1,600 m high, on a Karts plateau, at the border of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, the area, besides being renowned for alpine skiing, is also provided with 4 cross country loops, B type, all of them for both classic and freestyle techniques.

The first loop, a 5 km long approved trail, has a maximum slope gradient of 44 m and also has a shorter variant, 4 km long.

The third loop, an approved trail of 2.5 km, has an overall gradient of 80 m. Here you will also find a ski test trail and a cross country skiing stadium.

In this environment where nature reigns unchallenged, with breathtaking views and magical atmospheres, you will find many off-track itineraries suitable for ski touring or for snowshoeing and ski mountaineering.

A noteworthy trail leads to the borders of the protected area of Feudo Intramonti in the Park, going through Ferroio di Scanno; another trail leads to Serra di Rocca Chiarano.

The ski mountaineering itineraries cross the peaks of Rocca Chiarano, Mount Godi, up to Mount Marsicano.

To top up the offer are the services available in the area, ski rental, food facilities, hotels and cross-country ski school.
